Axiom is a fellowship for Nigerian students. We fund tuition and research in exchange for a commitment to stewardship—pursuing excellence, contributing to intellectual life, and taking responsibility for the future.
The Role
We're hiring a Program Manager to build and run Axiom. This is a foundational role: you'll design the systems, set the standards, and prove that this model works.
What You'll Do
Build the infrastructure
- Design fellowship programming: challenges, milestones, community rituals, evaluation frameworks
- Build and direct a small media team to document the work and distribute weekly content
- Create documentation so rigorous that anyone could run this program without you
Run the fellowship
- Coordinate challenges, track performance, maintain engagement across cohorts
- Travel regularly to meet students where they are
- Make renewal decisions with clarity and fairness, understanding that stewardship is earned continuously
- Define consequences for disengagement and enforce them with consistency
Prove the model
- Launch successfully: students engaged, challenges running, systems documented, community forming
- Demonstrate measurable impact by Year 1: retention rates, quality of work produced, student satisfaction, external recognition
- Build toward scale: refine what works, document what doesn't, prepare the program to grow
Who You Are
You've built or run programs, products, or operations from early stages — ideally in tech, edtech, fellowships, or mission-driven platforms with national reach.
You have exceptional emotional intelligence. You're warm in daily interactions but unflinching when standards aren't met. You understand that support and discipline are not opposites.
